During Startup Egypt’s official launch, Dr. Maged Ghoneima, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, outlined the organization’s role as a super connector bringing government, the private sector, civil society, investors, and founders closer together.
He highlighted Egypt’s growing startup potential, noting Cairo’s position among the world’s top 100 startup cities and the country’s ability to become a regional entrepreneurship hub. He also announced partnerships with AWS, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and other leading companies to provide startups with technology, business support, and new market opportunities.
“Startup Egypt is not a funding entity. Our role is to connect the ecosystem, remove barriers, and open direct channels between founders and major institutions,” Dr. Ghoneima said.
He added that the organization will launch sector-focused accelerators, a mentorship network of more than 350 Egyptian experts across 20 countries, and direct procurement opportunities with leading corporations.
