Speaking at the launch of Startup Egypt, MSMEDA CEO Basel Rahmy said the agency is fully prepared to partner with Startup Egypt, noting that both organizations share a practical approach focused on coordination, innovation, and removing barriers for founders.
Rahmy praised Startup Egypt’s vision and implementation roadmap, describing its model as closely aligned with MSMEDA’s own work across Egypt. He emphasized the agency’s readiness to provide the support needed to help Startup Egypt achieve its goals.
He also highlighted MSMEDA’s nationwide presence and its support for more than 3.3 million clients over the past 35 years.
Rahmy further pointed to recent government measures supporting startups, including a simplified tax framework, a joint EGP 2 billion initiative with the Ministry of Finance, and new efforts to connect promising companies with export opportunities and international markets.
